Birthday's and Friends
The Spring Luncheon was very nice and a friend shared about her life, wow, you just don't know what people go through. Our journey's vary, but we all face some kind of Barbed Wire and Cotton! Many of my friends have much the same. It was great to be there to hear her story.
Next stop was to "surprise" a friend for her 50th birthday. It wasn't a surprise, she had found out, but it was still fun to see the girls I used to work with at the preschool. We figured out, we have known each other for 24 years. That is pretty amazing. Funny...to be with them reminiscing, our hubby's were all there as well, we drag them together, they manage fine. :)
Then, I came home, and quick went over to another group of girl friend's home to celebrate Annette's birthday....pictured here. OK...this is pretty cool, I met this group of women at church about 11 years ago. We were in about the same situation with our kids and we read the book "Give Them Wings". We ended up 'loving' & caring for each other so we continued and read more books, and I hate to read :D .... one of the husbands would tease us saying: "I need to get out of here, there is too much Estrogen in the room", our group of girls became known as the E-Group, standing for Estrogen Group. We laugh and laugh, typically about nothing...sometimes at one another, but always in love. Annette was my hubby's high school English teacher...she is retiring this year. She started teaching when she was in her early 20's, now she is thinking she wants to do some missionary work...she is an amazing lady, I love and respect and look up to her....wait, she is a short Chinese lady, I can only look up to her when I am sitting down. LOL!!!
I am truly blessed...three groups of women, each from different eras, different times of trails and joys, different kinds of relationships, but all a gift.
Today was a good day!
