Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Prom Night at the Beach

Date night was so fun last night, that we thought we would have another one tonight, this time at the ocean. I had no idea we were going to "Prom Night at the Beach."

We went to a favorite place, Lookout Point at Corona del Mar. We purchased dinner "to go" at Baja Fresh, which is just a short distance from the shore. We had just finished eating when the parade of beauties arrived.

Every bit of fantasy, imagination, and wishing came to life as the teenage girl that still lives in me watched their every move and the shimmer and sway of their gorgeous dresses. You can imagine my excitement.

I grabbed my camera and began following the parade while trying to blend in with the scenery. I think "silver dress's" mom had the role of Blipper. Watching her arrange the trio was amusing.

Yes, the sunset was stunning this evening. My point-and-shoot did an amazing job of capturing the sky, the sun, the water--105 photos fell out when I downloaded. Nothing, however, compared to the excitement and delicious wonder of watching these girls in all their glory enjoying an evening they will never forget.

Date night was an A+. I loved being at the ocean. I loved seeing the prom girls. I loved being at Lookout Point with Mr. Fun and Bob dog. If you've read this far, then maybe you like prom night as much as I do.

Good night from Southern California.
