Busking at the Market
It's a hard life. First I had to go to Boundary Bay again to schmooze, drink beer, and eat. It was the kick-off barbeque lunch for the annual NSEA Salmon at the Bay event.
After that, I needed a nap before C and I went to a 40th anniversary celebration for friends, John and Dorie, the owners of Bellewood Acres, a thriving apple orchard out in the county. There were quite a few people we knew there and we had a good time. They had a keg of locally brewed hard cider, which is not readily available around here. For the British blippers, I should explain that in the US cider is unfermented apple juice, and hard cider is the real McCoy.
Now I need to get a good night's sleep to prepare for my trip to the Washington Brewers Festival (nearly 200 beers on tap) in Seattle tomorrow. It's my son's treat for Father's Day. Should be worth a blip.
I almost forgot to mention the photo. The Bellingham Farmers Market is across the street from Boundary Bay. I went there looking for a blip and saw the young buskers. They were playing a Welsh tune -- I wonder how they knew I'm Welsh?
