Discovering New Orleans

Got to see a lot today, started by walking down to the Mississippi River and finding Jackson Square.

When we got down to the river we saw the Natchez, which is the only steam powered paddle boat still operating on the Mississippi and decide to do the lunch ride.

Nice way to start our day, relaxing on the boat and getting to see some huge ships working on the river.

After the riverboat ride we went to Jackson Square which is very pretty.
Then we just wandered wherever we felt like it...stopped at a cool voodoo shop and picked up some souvenirs and Jill got a tarot card reading. Also stopped at Pat O'Brien's and had the famous hurricane drink (even got the glasses to take home).
Then had a tasty seafood dinner...although it was much too rich and heavy and we regretted later, haha.

After that we went back to the room and took a nap before doing Bourbon St for real.
