Wandering

Adam lay back on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. With the overhead light off, the room felt cooler, he felt calmer.

Having been unconscious, he felt anxious about closing his eyes, yet he was overwhelmingly tired.

Sarah had told him that anything might be a symptom, and to let her know if he felt strange in any way - but this tiredness seemed entirely natural to him. It was just his wariness of that too-recent darkness that made him fight against it.
