This is What A Quarter Will Buy You
The day started out at gymnastics for 'Teddy Bear Picnic' and then a treat of froyo to follow. Afterwards we headed to Lodi to start sewing 60 bean bags for P.E. for next year. Due to budget cuts, the school is needing all the help and donations they can get! The boys had a really nice time having a playdate with Juniper and Wilder while we sewed. They have a huge house to play hide-and-seek in. They also have a nice koi pond and a cute, BIG potbellied pig amongst other fun things! They were kept busy enough that we got alot done....until we ran out of time and popcorn to fill the bean bags. We'll meet up next week to finish them.
This evening we went to Round Table Pizza because there was a little league board meeting there. The kids grubbed on the pizza buffet and patiently waited for their balloon animals to be made while the meeting was going on. Each Tuesday they have face painting and balloon making for this family-friendly night. Their favorites balloon creations are the sword balloons, of course, but they always seem to come home with the one that has a monkey on a tree branch. They tell me it's a monkey, but it always looks like a poodle on a tree branch. Since poodle's don't climb trees, they just have to nod their heads when the balloon-maker tells them it's a monkey :)
