Visiting Sherwood Forest

Today we headed up to Calvin Crest to spend the night in Cedar Lodge and spend the day in 'Sherwood Forest' for the last day's fair. This is where Loren was staying for the week. The boys went on the paddle boats, played on the playground, went swimming in the pool & explored the forest. We participated in the fair that went on and enjoyed the skits and campfire songs. Loren was happy to show me the ladybug nest they found in the forest near their cabin. The entire log and tree was covered with ladybugs and when you were walking near their nest they crawled all over your legs. Those were the bugs I didn't mind. If only our bug spray had kept away those mosquitos! We also ate dinner (fish n' chips) with the boy's from Loren's cabin. It was really nice to see Loren after him being away for almost a week and nice to hear his memories and stories from the week. He never wants to come home from Calvin Crest considering he has so much fun there, so I'm sure he will be sad to be leaving there tomorrow.

The boys were tired out after the campfire worship time and so they showered and snuggled into their beds. I hung out at the lodge while Gary went and checked out the activities of the evening at camp.
