Back at the camping

backblip

At Ardgarten this time since it's the closest site we can find to Inverary where we're heading tomorrow for Richard's photowalk.

Not a bad site. Although close enough to Glasgow that it's one we would usually avoid. The general rule is to avoid anywhere within an hour's drive of a major city since that seems to be limit of your average chav's willingness to drive for a spot of camping. But it seems this place is either too expensive (a whole £22.50 a night, which is dear for a campsite) or just not worth driving past Loch Lomondside. Maybe both - you could get an extra tray of Tennents for the cost of a night's camping. So probably the chavs are all in a layby on the A82 burning someone's garden furniture.

Still, it's not France. It's cold and the midges are out in force. I think it'll be the down bag tonight.
