Very big stomach. Eyes even bigger.

Me: "Let's stop for lunch, we're in Maine, we should try the lobster".
Mr Toadally: "OK but I don't want a whole one, cracking the claws or anything like that".
Me: "Fine, do you fancy that place over there?"

This was lunch for one. You can see the full horror on Flickr

We set off from Portsmouth, NH across the state line and up he Maine coast. The traffic along the coastal road (1A) was dreadful. We headed inland to the freeway and crawled for over an hour through roadworks. Then the haar (sea mist) came over and we decided to head inland, back towards Canada (we have to be in Aurora, north of Toronto by Tuesday)

By 5pm we were getting a bit desperate - hardly any accommodation (for people) and all fully booked. Plenty of boarding kennels and animal shelters but nothing for us. We finally found a grotty looking motel in Norway, Maine and checked in. Actually it was fine - comfortable bed, shower worked, nice little diner next door and quiet - got a good night's sleep.
