Les Alpes

I love the Alps. I'm not a skiier, but I'm a big fan of walking in the mountains, and have had some great holidays here. So I jumped at the chance to visit when we changed our plans. This shot was taken on the way to Chambery, through some more fun mountain roads.

After arriving in Chambery we went to visit Lac du Bourget, the largest lake in France. We took a little boat out on the lake and had a lovely relaxing afternoon, the scenery there is beautiful. This evening we went in search of tartiflette, my favourite meal in the whole world, and struck it lucky with a fantastic Savoyard restaurant. Seriously tasty stuff, but not so good for the waistline :)
