Pointless.....

.....today I had my first taste of the Scottish legal system and.....well....this is a family show, so I'll not tell you what I'm really thinking.

In April this year, two young gentleman from Granton drank too much high strength cider, bought McDonalds Burgers and then popped along Princes Street to eat them in Burger King. The security guard in BK politely asked them to eat their 'rival' meals outside BK and when they reached the door, one of the gentleman punched the guard in the face twice, right in front of me. Police were called, statements taken and young gentleman arrested.

Wind forward to August, I am cited to appear as a witness for the prosecution. I arrive at 9.15am, wait in the Witness Muster Room for 5 hours and then finally appear in court. I give evidence to say that said young gentleman punched the guard twice right in front of me. The guard says that said young gentleman punched him twice. Said young gentleman denies our allegations...."It wizzny me"

What do you think the Sherriff did next?

No, he didn't do that, he did in fact aquit the young gentleman on the grounds of insufficient evidence. What a pointless waste of time. I'm actually so annoyed that I want to write to someone to complain. This isn't justice, this is nonesense. What sort of message have we sent this young gentleman? "Yes son, punching people is acceptable, on you go".

I was going to go to the Blipmeet tonight, but I'm feeling so annoyed that I'm just going to go home and stew.

Still, came across some funky Big Beat tonight. Keep an eye out for this lad.
