Plagiarism

I have it on good authority that this is a Black and White Hoverfly (Scaeva pyrastri), so many thanks to Robbies Roots.

Another day investigating a new (to me) nature reserve close to home, this time Stanborough Reedmarsh, managed by Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust. It's only a small area at the far end of a busy fishing and sailing lake, but it held a good selection of flowers and insects and where the two combined it made for some good photo opportunities. Hadn't seen a Black and White Hoverfly before other than in Robbies blip, so that had to be today's plagiaristic offering.
