Whats a record player????

Hopalong and I made a sentimental purchase today of a USB turn table, so after getting the kids to clear the eves to find the "record collection" we had fun assembling it to our "HIfi" system. To hear the crackles and static from the old records was nostalgia to my ears.
Why are some of the black things smaller than those ones Mum?, as the youngest held up single, and whats the needle? Left me feeling ooooold!

12" Robert Palmer Addicted to love, along with Billy Connelly, were lovingly caressed by Hopalong, whilst the eldest counted the amount of Iron maiden and Rainbow "records" I had.

And to crown it all we can record them onto SD to play at our leisure!!! :)))))
