Ferns

I liked the ferns growing through the railings on this balcony and decided to photograph it, but then I noticed all the other lovely details on this facade - the shadow of the electric cable, the cable itself, the textures on the wall, the broken drainpipe. I took several shots before the woman who lives there came out onto one of the other balconies. I just said 'bonjour!' and she didn't seem to mind what I was doing. We've had people taking photos of our house too.

Three work deadlines met today - hooray! - so I'll spend the rest of the week getting to know my new camera.... and blipping, of course.
