Lika a bridge over..........
Well, nothing really, just yet.
Went to Salford Quays to try to blip the new footbridge linking Media City (the new home of the BBC) with a parking lot beside the Imperial War Museum North, but because of all the barriers around the construction site this was the best I could do. (Google new bridge salford quays for an artists impression.)
When we went on our cruise 3 weeks ago we were informed that the bridges on the canal need to give 38 feet clearance for vessels. The Millenium Footbridge (google Millenium footbridge salford Quays) does this by the whole deck rising up two towers, but the new bridge is being designed to pivot at the Museum end!
The council are hoping that Granada TV will buy the land beside the Museum and make the Quays Media Central for the North of England.
After a stroll the Boss decided it was time for lunch.
