unfolding into the world
one of my big projects at work is really starting to unfold like this flower. after such time. the plant, leaves, bud, then finally flower all need time to grow.
a website ive been creating is just about to be finished. as i make these last additions/edits, i can feel the end nearing, like a flower just opening. but most of all im excited to share it with everyone. the organization i work with gives grants to teachers to do some really phenomenal community-based education projects. (ex. fifth graders doing the first research on how zebra mussels may be effecting the great lakes' shipwrecks. you see, shipwrecks are really well preserved in our cold fresh waters. much better than in the ocean's corroding saltwater. so there is worry the invasive zebra mussels may ruin them. so this class built their own ROVs to bring cameras down to the wrecks, analyzing mussel populations). and this website provides a system for those teachers to build better projects, share resources and ideas, and tell the world about what they're doing!
