St Ives

Today's the day ....................... to see the sea

Headed south today, almost to the very tip of the British Isles, to St Ives in Cornwall - and when we stepped off the train after an eight hour journey, we really could have been in a different country altogether.

The sun was shining, the sea was blue - sun-tanned people were walking about in shorts and teeshirts and everyone looked as if they were on holiday. I took off my shoes and had a paddle and before long we felt the same way.

St Ives is a lovely little place and seems to cope very well with all the tourists that visit. There's a busy little harbour full of the comings and goings of the various boats and lots of interesting little cafes and restaurants to eat the fresh fish that is brought in.

Tomorrow I have a day to myself to explore ............!
