Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

Monday, Monday!

Yesterday was Monday and today felt like Monday again!

Maybe I'm not functioning on all cylinders or something. I'm sure it has something to with coming "off of" the weekend and "down" from the weekend and finding balance. I'm usually pretty good at balance and Mr. Fun is the one who goes all over the chart with highs and lows.

Tuesday always feels a little like Monday because it is my first day back in the classroom. I am not complaining; I love my schedule. I did have an entertaining good time in the online office chat room last night helping students understand the articles that they have been assigned to read and summarize. So I rolled away from the campus late this afternoon feeling a little "blah" in the emotional department.

It didn't help that I needed to shop for food on the way home. Once in the grocery store I phoned Mr. Fun to ask if he could help me remember what was on the shopping list. I think I purchased everything we needed and then some. So I bought one package of three little filets knowing that Mr. Fun would grill one for me. He's so good. He eats his little diet dinners and cooks a steak for me.

Dinner was delicious. Possibly the most exciting moment of the day. So the photo is proof. I wish you could have tasted the steak. Mr. Fun seared it just right. I love it seared on the outside and just barely pink on the inside. I also had a Caesar salad. It was yummy-licious!! I also had an itty-bitty little baked potato. I haven't had potato in a long time; it was so good.

I hope all of you saw ~G's page yesterday about life.turns (see his last paragraph) -- I'm still crazy about life.turns and if I could do it over again -- I would! Actually, I'd dress in the bride costume for all 8 frames and again in the graduate costume for another 8 frames.

Honest, I don't watch life.turns 24/7 but when I do go back and revisit it, I think it is the music that surrounds me, lures me in, and I watch it all the way till the hat lands on her head and then the music coasts to the last note and the credits play. Somebody tell Joe that Rosie loves life.turns.

Before my "blah" day turns to mushy, I'm going to exit.
Good night from a lovely 73 degrees in Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
