Bike Traveler
This is Larry. I met him on my 2 1/2 hour walk along the Rillito River in Tucson. Note that I didn't see a drop of water in the river, just sand and bushes.
Larry was off to the side of the trail and was fiddling with his bike. At first, I thought perhaps he had a flat. Then, I saw from the gear and panniers that he was a distance traveller. Therefore a conversation was in order.
Larry has pedaled to Globe, to Colorado Springs, and he said that he has done the Appalachian Trail. He has bright strobe lights on his bike for traveling at night.
He mentioned that he was 50% Cherokee Indian and that he was homeless. He's been in Tucson since '92. A friendly guy.
