Botanics!

We are very lucky because we live a five minute walk away from the The Botanic Gardens/Botanics as we Edinburghians call it. We absolutely love it there and it's like a second home for us. Now they've opened The John Hope Gateway building it's even better!

Madeleine enjoyed a fun day with her little friend who lives across the road this afternoon. We all went to the Botanics where they ate ice lollies, explored, climbed trees and made a nut pile for the squirrels out of conkers and other bits and bobs which had fallen from the trees. Little friend stayed for tea but they've got school tomorrow so after some hiding in cupboards, (Where could they be? Are they behind the curtains? No! In the dolls-house? No, etc. etc.) little friend went home!
