the sunrise side

growing up, i lived on the west coast of michigan. characterized by stunning sunsets over the open waters of lake michigan.

now, living on the east coast of the state, things have reversed, signs welcome you to the sunrise side of the state. where the sun dazzles early risers as it creeps up from behind the open waters of lake huron.

unfortunately, i didnt have time to run down to the water before work, but snapped this shot of the sky (there was no color adjustment, it really looked like that!) from in front of my office.
