The street where I live...

I sneaked this photo from the terrace on top of the house I'm staying in. It's a nice neighbourhood and it feels safe to walk around (just not with a camera) and unlike the centre of town, I'm not constantly accosted by people trying to sell me stuff, or tell me they've met me before in London (?!) or explaining how we're best friends...

See all the sand - that's everywhere and gets everywhere. One of the most luxurious things I do is wash my feet before bed (when there's running water).

And the kids playing football - they're everywhere too! Seems like career choice number 1 here is Senegalese football team. Not sure how they manage to run around in this heat though.
