Salt Water

This is taken on the middle of Lac Rose - this guy punted us across for £2. With the right light and wind conditions, the lake is supposed to be pink. You can see, it was pretty brown today.

It's also got a massively high salt content and people scrape the salt off the bottom and pile it into boats like these, up to the rim. They then pack it into bags on the shore, where middlemen from Dakar come and buy them for half the price they'll then sell them for. Capitalism r us. Meanwhile, this dude was happy to get a bit of extra cash.
