To Kayak or Not to Kayak...

All packed and ready to go for a weekend up in North Yorkshire... Slenningford Watermill, West Tanfield in between Ripon and Masham.

Its a twice annually event, April and October, I have been going for 20 years and the lovely R for even longer! We have missed the previous 2 because of R being in Ghana so we're really looking forward to this weekend! The social side of the weekend is as enjoyable as the paddling! We're even taking R & L the lovely R's cousin and his wife... who a few days after the big engagement and wedding date announcement, announced they are expecting their first child! That is good news!

Wonder if they'll be any water at Tanfield?!

Before we get to Tanfield though we have to go to home to East Yorkshire for the 'meet the families' meal for the forthcoming wedding of the lovely R's Mum.

I think there are nerves on all sides!

One of those occasions where we just want to get it over with... I'm more than sure that they are having the same feelings as we are and are feeling the pace of this whole wedding that we are too.

I'm taking my kit this weekend but whether I will get on I will reserve judgement till I see the water level.
