Topolia gorge

We drove across the island again today, wanting to visit a beach on the opposite coast. There are mountains, high mountains, in the middle and the roads go around them or, in some rare cases, through them. Close to a village called Topolia was this magnificent gorge and here the road enters a narrow tunnel for a bit to cross onto the other side.

This photo was difficult, the colors seemed bleak and the depth doesn't quite come through. But it's the best I can do, it's getting close to midnight and I need to post it now.
