Another Day In Paradise

We set out this morning to drive the thirty odd miles to Assisi and for the second day in a row failed to make it.
There are so many distractions: The Autumn colours are beautiful, with vines as red as New England maples and all kinds of shades of gold, russett and green. We had to keep stopping the car as another fantastic vista presented itself. It took us two hours to cover around two miles.
I decided on this one with Trevi, from yesterday's blip, in the distance. It could have been one of several others - I took pot luck in the end.
We finished off with a lunch of local meats, cheeses, truffles, olive oil, bread and cake to finish. M. had wine but I was driving so I had to forgo that particular pleasure. Never mind, It's been a really lovely day.
