The view from the bridge

The morning started off tranquil and bright but its now windy and wet, weather warnings still in place so we shall see.

A productive day nonetheless - manured the polytunnel (still using very posh stuff from the Aga Khan's ex-horse, very prolific it is too!); swept up loads of leaves and made a leaf ccompost box which will hopefully provide lots of rich leafmould next year; collected holly boughs complete with berries before the Redwings arrive and eat them - stuck these into the soil in the polytunnel where they will last happily until Christmas; and put the dried fruit to soak in Guinness ready for Christmas cake making tomorrow.

Today's blip is the view from this bridge. This little river runs out into the estuary of Dumnanus Bay - currently low tide. It is a wonderful picturesque view in all seasons - the protestant church can be glimpsed on the left and the main coastal road runs over the other bridge. The river bank is flanked by some old and impressive trees usually loud with crows.
