Undergoing Essential Maintenance

I'm not sure if I love or hate the irony of this. I left the navy 2 months before the government announced savage cuts. Some would say I got out just in time. Truth is, I feel sorry for those who may well lose their jobs, but also for those who are left behind. They will spend more time away from their loved ones with fewer ships left to maintain the same commitments.

I look on the RN website every so often to have a nosey at what old friends are doing. All weekend, I have been confronted with this announcement.

Turns out, the website has been hacked over the weekend. Question is.. Is this some sick joke resulting from the budget cuts? Or is there something more sinister? Here's hoping they get the problem fixed soon, so that the can see the good work our navy is doing.
