Down the lane

I took this at 15:00 and there is still frost on the verge and in the fields. This is Forge Lane leading down to East Farleigh WI Hall and The Bull. The river Medway snakes along the valley and, in the distance, we're looking towards Teston. If you look carefully, just to the left of the final telegraph pole, you'll make out East Farleigh church. The trees behind the hedge were recently full of apples and pears but that seems like a distant memory now that winter has arrived with a vengeance.

I've been and bought some coal and logs and I'm going to light the fire and make a cup of tea. Keep warm!
