Snowbathing
Woke up in East Linton to a heavy overnight snowfall but sunny skies. While contemplating over coffee and croissants when to return to the big smoke, the sky turned black and the weather hit blizzard mode, so it was a quick pack and on to the dreaded A1.
I met up with Lady F's firstborn for some wise words before she went off sledging with Lucy while I headed for home. However, the Meadows had turned into a giant snow sculpture exhibition so I stopped off for a look. Well done, students. They showed all their study time had gone to good use and there were some fantastic creations; a horse, rabbit, igloo, snowmen a la Raymond Briggs, you name it. I opted to post this queen-like lady basking in the sun.
As this is Lady F's front garden, I popped in to see her and enjoyed a cup of tea and a chat while surveying the world outside. The views are lovely - she is a very lucky lady.
