Duvet Day

One of the benefits of living in suburbia is that once the snow settles in, roads become impassable and there is nothing for it but to stay at home. Such was today.

I ventured out to Colinton to meet a similarly work-absent friend for coffee and the going was tough. Walking on the road was the only option, though when cars came I had to jump on to the pavement and disappear in snow up to my knees, causing visible amusement to the drivers.

Took the easier route home by the Water of Leith and it was simply beautiful.
