Yet another snowy day

After doubting yesterday whether the snow would still be here tomorrow we were rewarded with nearly a foot of it this morning. The Boy had been on overnights so I got up early to await his arrival so we could go swimming. Whilst waiting I saw a delivery van jack-knife on our hill, the two cars behind stopped and also got stuck. Thankfully the 3rd vehicle in line was a gritter so they got the shovels and grit out and worked to free everyone. Whilst this commotion was happening, further vehicles got stuck down the road. We saw many people attempt to dig their cars out, a lot of bad driving and some ingenious use of board from the scaffolders skip.

Around 8am we decided to head out but as The Boy was tired (he'd helped push a number of cars on his way home from work) we decided to give swimming a miss and just head up to the butchers. We had a great walk, helped some more cars and then rewarded ourselves with Hot Chocolate at The Chocolate Tree. More silliness on the way home before calling past the canal to feed the birds.

This was the point when we witnessed the most idiotic thing of the day. Busy feeding the ducks there was suddenly a huge splash, wondering who'd thrown something off the bridge we looked up to find two men, stark naked, climbing out of the canal. Seriously, WHY?
