Gingerbread Houses and Music
C and I went to the Holiday Port Festival at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal this evening. There were firetruck rides, free cookies and hot apple cider, and music, singing and dancing by local groups.
C particularly wanted to see the gingerbread house contest. It should have been called a gingerbread art contest -- I saw a coffin with a gingerbread corpse inside and a very nice model of a Mississippi stern-wheel steam boat. You can see them and other entries in these photos.
The sax quartet played classical music arrangements and jazz. They were very good.
