Crown No1

I started dismantling my Crown No1 in earnest tonight. The top is now off which has allowed me to see the inside and how it all fits together. Yes, it looks quite messy but in reality it is quite simple. As you can see the whole oven is rusted out. That is easy to fix with some 1 or 2mm plate steel cut to size.

I am taking lots of pictures as I pull bits off so I can remember exactly how it all goes back together and where all the bolt holes are.

We went to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast this morning with our friend Kathie and Brad, in the pouring rain. We must have been mad! It was fun anyway although I developed a cracking headache as the day wore on. Must be all those screaming kids.
