Where sheep may safely graze
We had had more snow in the night but enough not to make the lanes too icy - that will come tomorrow. The sun was shining brightly and all the village seemed to be crammed into the little shop - a veritable meeting place! The postman still hasn't delivered so we are behind with the post. I walked home the long way round with two neighbours who wanted to deliver cards and take photographs of the church. The newly born lambs and their mothers had been put into the churchyard to graze. They had found a warm spot under the old conifers and the lambs had been exploring around the base of the trees. The black headed sheep on the right is the mother of two coal-black twins, only one of them is visible. There was quite a circle of people watching them with amusement from the other side of the wall.
