At the seawall, Wellington south coast

I love windswept and desolate places, including places where there's a fusion of the natural and the artificial. The seawall at the southern end of Wellington airport is such a place. Its ugliness, and out of the way location, deter most from venturing there. The crash of waves and the cry of seagulls, the scream of jets and the stench of aviation fuel - all mix in the blustery northwest wind.
