Chirk Castle Gates
These gorgeous gates were made in 1711-12.
They bear the coat of arms of the Myddleton family and at the top is a red 'bloody' hand... Which could be described as a little bit gruesome.
They are most imposing in the mist.
I'm typing quickly (can you tell) because I'm relying on the laptop battery and a wifi signal in a cafe.
Drinking tea. And in 'flop' mode after a funeral. I was going to say an upsetting funeral, but I guess that goes without saying?!
Normality returns tomorrow.
