New Years Eve...

As you can see either I have the time on my camera a little slow or someone set off the fireworks a little early!

Arrived in Ambleside this afternoon and checked in to the Youth Hostel. It was dark when we arrived but that didn't stop us appreciating that tomorrow morning we will have a stunning view from our room! Sadly we are going to have to move from it for tomorrow night as we were a little late in deciding to stay the extra night. In the end its not a major disaster there are worst things to happen.

Well done to Ambleside Youth Hostel for putting on a fantastic night. Buffet food from 7pm which they kept topped up until they had run out and you could go back as many times as you like. Mulled wine for the adults and warm fruit punch for the kids that you could go back as many times as you like. A friendly quiz about 9. Bar all evening then to top it off the Fireworks to see in 2011! The price for this per person including accommodation and breakfast tomorrow morning... was very, very reasonable, in fact a bargain!

My friends A & L from Uni who are also staying in Ambleside, though they have hired a flat came down for a drink and to see the New Year in with us which was very nice and we'll be seeing them tomorrow too! Fantastic! After A&L left us after the New Year was in R and I went for a small walk before retiring, we spent a couple of minutes watching some people set off chinese lanterns. We counted about 6 or 7 in the sky all ready.

My New Years Resolution is to try and blip everyday! I might have to back blip at times but hopefully this time next year I will have a full year! How long will it last?!
