Christmas Eve!

This is the church in my town, St Mary's, in the snow. Pretty, huh? My friend A has come over from Paris to spend Christmas with us - she can't afford to go home to the states - which is exciting! She came yesterday and naturally I forgot to blip - ditto Wednesday. Can't even remember what I did on Wednesday, which suggests it wasn't very exciting. I believe I did some wrapping.

Thursday it was my mum's birthday, and she had a breakfast with all her friends which I went to and had a fry up - lovely! Then I went to get A from St Pancras, and we had a very excitable reunion (five days apart!), then went back home and my mum opened her presents. She got an iPad! (Though we already knew about this since she bought it in Cambridge while we were there. Still, exciting!) My mind has gone blank about what happened for the rest of the day, but we went out for a meal in the evening at a nice little greek restaurant.

Today I made a banoffee pie and a chocolate orange cake, and A and I went into town (when I took this photo). In the evening we played Topix and had pasta, and then put our stockings up on the fireplace!
