Firenze

This was taken from the bell tower next to the Duomo in Florence. It is an incredible building, and one of my favourite things I've seen so far. We chose to climb the bell tower over the dome of the Cathedral so we would have the view of the domes as well. The bell tower takes you quite high, and affords you a wonderful panorama of all of Florence. Though you can't see it in this photo, the city spreads out in a sea red and yellow. I know sunset photos are done to death, but I quite liked this.

Florence surprised me with how much I liked it. After busy Rome it was really nice to just wander the streets. Later this day we saw the Statue of David, ate the kebab of a lifetime and bought Italian leather bags. A successful day.
