Foot-Stamping Fun

This is on Pont Vecchio in Florence. It's this amazing bridge across the Arno River which is home to dozens and dozens of amazing jewelery shops. This lady was approaching all the tourists who were browsing on the street and begging for money. The sight was so depressing against the backdrop of the riches of the jewelery shops. My pity, however, ended when she stamped on my toe with her cane when i declined to give her any money. Pretty determined stamp too, if I may say so.

Other things we did today were a half-day trip to Pisa (where all appropriate cliche photos were taken), and then just wandering around the streets. The best kind of day.
