Palafitos
Headed down to Castro today, the capital of Chiloe and had a really nice lunch. Spent the rest of the day exploring. Chiloe not really what I was expecting - thought it was going to be more quaint but it´s been spoilt by lots of corrogated houses replacing the traditional shingles.
These wooden stilt houses in the picture are called Palafitos and are mostly occupied by fisherman who tie up their boats to the stilts when the tide is in.
