Flood warning!

With frozen ground and heavy rainfall, we were expecting a call from Tayside Police.

It duly came this afternoon giving us enough time to jump on the quad bike and visually inspect the River Tay.
Today was the first day of the long awaited salmon season and very few rods were cast as the swollen, fast flowing river made fishing impossible.

It is now evening and we can only wait and see what will happen. We have moved our car to high ground and have battened down the hatches.

Fingers crossed that we stay high and dry!


I spent the day reading a great book 'Three Cups of Tea' chroniciling the work of Greg Mortensson in Baltistan.

The red Swordfish thing in the picture is our new laminator which is great fun as I plasticise everything and anything in the house!

Sloe gin ready now matured and ready for drinking so all friends welcome to pop in for a wee dram!!!
