beans

Well someone enjoyed their beans today! She didn't think much of the toast though, instead choosing to focus on the beans; picking up and eating each bean individually...

Amelie woke up at 1 o clock this morning and was wide awake. Chris got up with her as he was still on nightshift mode and hadn't gone to bed but she woke me up as she was crying. She was a bit damp from a leaky wet nappy (unusual) and once I'd changed her she was just raring to go despite being in bed with me. She kept getting up and crawling away. Eventually she went back to sleep and we got up at 8.22am even though she had gone to bed at 6.30pm!

Her and I pottered about for most of the morning in our pj's and she had a nice nap then we were mean and went to wake Chris up. She watched me from the bedroom as I cleaned the en suite and had my shower. She really hates being in the shower cubicle with me - we have tried it a few times. But is quite fascinated from the outside. We had a walk outside in the afternoon and a trip to get some vegetables for dinner and then it was back home and somehow it was bedtime already.

We have decided to try a new sleep routine as the old one was failing miserably. So now its dinner, short play, bath, ready for bed, night garden and bottle and then into bed for a story much earlier than she was going down before (6.30ish instead of 7.30). Tonight we didn't even get to the end of the gruffallo and she was asleep. So far she has stirred only and it was straight back to sleep after the dummy was found. The only thing we need to tackle now is the midnight waking where she wakes up and wants to play...hmmm
