Sun and Air

Living in Bangkok gave me my first opportunity to see the sun turn red as it was setting. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera ready at the moment, but today we get to see its distinct shape again. I guess it has to do with all the junk in the air, but we'll focus on the interesting pictures it provides and not what we're breathing in everyday.

I had never experienced being able to look directly at the sun and see its clear circumference as it sets. When I excitedly pointed it out to my Thai dorm friends, their response was an everyday, "Yep, that's the sun." I don't know what you're so excited about...
