Rose

This Rose grows beside my front door. It is a very old bush, and has been sadly neglected over the years. The flower, when it opens, is beautiful; all folded up within itself and the colour is lovely, shading from a strong yellow in the centre to a rich cream with pink edging on the outer petals.

The trouble is that it only lasts about 12 hours before it is faded and bruised looking. I have no idea of its name or type or anything else, but I call it my camelia rose because it has that same propensity for bruising and drooping that the older camelias have.
