School Holidays

I think I forget sometimes just how much fun school holidays were back when I was a student rather than a teacher.

I was out this afternoon when this group of teenagers came towards me walking down the state highway, seemingly coming back from the river where they'd been "rafting" on their tubes and pool toys - an aeroplane and a couple of turtles I think. It made me remember that the fun was not just the activity we were involved in, but the walk home being 'seen' and waving to the traffic. Their obvious enjoyment certainly brought a smile to my face.
