Where's Katie... There she is

Katie was very excited this morning when she realised Cousin 2 was in the car to go to Church this morning. And then said "Where 'Cousin 1'". She then repeated about 5 different words that Cousin 2 said to her. I'm finding her fascinating at the moment. She has a picture book and on each page there are several pictures she can point to the object and name it correctly, and if its an animal, make its sound. She just soaks up so much that I am amazed by her.

Anyway, Cousin 1 was helping in the creche this morning and Katie was really pleased. Although apparently she was a little disgruntled when Cousin held another baby for quite a while. She fell asleep in the car and slept for another hour and a half when I transferred her to her cot.

We had to make a quick dash out after sleep/food as I realised I only had Christmas wrapping paper with a birthday party at 4pm! We put Katie in her finery and as I was putting her shoes on her she started the game of peekaboo that is the blip.

She enjoyed the party, it was at the play cafe, although she did wait until all the other kids had come off the soft play before she ventured on. The birthday boy has a little sister who is 12 weeks old and such a wee doll, Katie was really taken with her and kept going back to 'talk' to her. When it came to tea time, she sat in her high chair for about 45 minutes, slowly chomping through a mountain of grapes, a sandwich etc and then making a good effort at a (small) bowl of crisps that was placed within her reach. She then had her first Minimilk ice lolly and discovered holding it (not the stick) wasn't fun.
