Once More Unto the Breach, Dear Friends

More snow today...lots more of it. Predicted to be 3 -5 inches before the end of the day.

Trying one more thing to recover my data. I'm surprised I didn't think of it before. The "Pros" I called obviously didn't think of it, even the guy who told me "I've been working on disk drives since there were 14" platters". The issue is one system has XP Pro loaded, the other XP Home. Turns out XP Home can't read the drives formatted with XP Pro, so I need to load another drive with XP Pro and test yet again to see if I can get the data drives to read. It only took about 30 minutes on the internet to find that possible answer.

Here's a tip: If anyone out there is a certified Microsoft Tech and has experience in data recovery and other technical aspects of computers (specifically hard drive operations), you have a wide open market here in Boise, Idaho. It's a nice community with mild winters and mild summers. A day's drive from the Pacific Ocean, 16 miles from the ski slopes, on the edge of the Great Basin desert ecosystem, and 2 hours drive from Sun Valley and the central mountains. Not a bad location, if you ask me. Just a thought.
