Cortona - Day 3
Another morning with pilates (with Jer) in the crypt of the villa we were staying in. Well, the crypt was made into a wine cellar and some empty floor space.
We had another breakfast at home before heading out for the day.
Our first stop was San Gimignano (or as M was pronouncing it San Jimmy-ano). We strolled around this scenic little town and I took lots of pics.
We had lunch on a terrace overlooking the valley. M & I shared a bottle of rose while the boys had beer. Jer & I started off with a delicious marinated veggie salad and then I had the tagliatelle with the wild boar ragu and Jer had pizza.
Afterwards we drove to Montalcino, walked around some more, then did a tasting at the Caparzo vineyards and tasted a variety of wonderful wines. Apparently some of "Letters to Juliet" was filmed at the vineyards.
After all that wine we settled back home for a nice nap.
We had dinner at home - the boys picked up pizzas and we made a nice salad, and of course had lots of wine with dinner.
